Aims and scope of the journal
This journal is a wide interdisciplinary publication which seeks to further debate and discuss the important concept of sustainable development. The scope of the journal therefore allows for contributions which have a local, national or global focus from a philosophical to a practical perspective. All contributions are refereed with the aim of providing the readership with high quality, original material.
Coverage of the journal
A range of topics is covered in the journal ranging from those examining broad development issues to those issues forming a subset of the sustainable development discourse: environmental protection, social responsibility, participation, ethics, human rights etc. It also considers policy implications and debates surrounding the most effective means of moving towards sustainable development. Of particular interest are papers examining case studies of specific regions or countries as well as wide conceptual papers on issues connecting globalisation and development.The journal is published four times a year.
